I'm reasonably sure that Charles Lyons and Mary Galbraith had more than one child but I've only got information on one, Benjamin Lyons, my great-great-grandfather.

BENJAMIN LYONS (CHARLES LYONS1) was born August 15, 1834 in Sussex, England, and died November 12, 1919 in Belvidere, Boone County, Illinois. He married SARAH MARIA WOODRUFF, 1867 in Illinois, daughter of JESSE WOODRUFF and EMILY BUCK. She was born March 1, 1846 in Schuyler County, New York and died December 14, 1935 in Belvidere, Boone County, Illinois.

Notes for BENJAMIN LYONS
Came to this country from England in 1852. BENJAMIN was living in Sycamore, DeKalb County, Illinois when he joined for service in Co. F, 65 Regiment, Illinois Infantry. He was mustered in May 1, 1862 in DeKalb County, Illinois but I don't think he saw much action as he was sick a great deal and spent a lot of time in field hospitals. He was mustered out May 17, 1865. (I think, perhaps, that it was a good thing Benjamin was sick and didn't see a lot of action in the Civil War or else I may not be here to write about him!) Benjamin died of diabetes November 12, 1919.

He married (1) CARRIE MAE LERCH in 1904, daughter of JOHN LERCH and ELIZABETH. She was born March 23, 1883 and died August 22, 1943 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. He married (2) MILDRED BELLE McMAHON, July 27, 1912 in LaPorte County, Indiana, daughter of GEORGE McMAHON and IDA. She was born May, 1894 in LaPorte County, Indiana.

He was born September 27, 1875 in Spring, Boone County, Illinois and died September 22, 1939 in Beloit, Rock County, Wisconsin.

On the 1910 census, it's recorded that MYRTLE is the mother of 9 children, of which 7 are still living. Apparently, cemetery records for MYRTLE state that one of her sons was named GEORGE but I can't find a son named GEORGE on any census record (I haven't located the family on the 1900 census). I believe GEORGE died before 1910. I don't know the name of the other child who died before that year.
