Ludwell H. Burton

Ludwell H. Burton, 72, died at 7:33 p.m., Saturday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Malcolm R. Darlington, 1222 Twenty-second Avenue SW, where he had made his home for the last year. He was born in Daviess County, Kentucky, Aug. 28, 1885. He came to Cedar Rapids from Christopher, Ill., where he had lived for 3 years and previous to that he had lived in Boonville, Ind., for most of his life where he farmed.

Surviving besides Mrs. Darlington are another daughter, Mrs. David H. Rhead of Cedar Rapids; four step-children; Mrs. Eugene Nix of Rockport, Ind.; Mrs. Carl Martin and James Gesser, bother of Owensboro, Ky., and Charles Gesser of Evansville, Ind.; two brothers, E. B. Burton of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Sam Burton of Owensboro, Ky. His wife, Mary, died Aug. 3, 1946.

The body is at the Janeba funeral home pending funeral arrangements.
