Allin Ancestors

The Allin/Allen name is a tough name to research as it's spelled different ways. In old records this name is spelled both as Allin and Allen. There also appears to be two seemingly different Richard Allin's coming to Virginia in 1635. I have never encountered such conflicting data regarding any family (except the Burton's). Please take what is listed here with "a grain of salt." I am working on sorting through all the information on this family but if anyone has any info on Richard Allin and his descendants, please e-mail me.

Lived in Henrico County until he was 19, then moved into what would soon be known as Goochland, Virginia. Then moved south across James River to the region of Willis River (later known as Cumberland) and finally to Mecklenburg County, Virginia, where he died....Source: Early Virginia Families along the James River.
