I haven't discovered who the father of John Nowell is but I suspect it might be William Nowell or Richard Nowell. There is a William Nowell arriving in 1639 in Warwick River County, Virginia and a Richard Nowell arriving in 1637 in New Norfolk County, Virginia. Of course, just because these two Nowell's happen to be in Virginia at about the right time to be John's father, doesn't mean either one is the correct one. Some believe that William Nowell of Massachusetts is John's father. This Massachusetts William could be the one who arrives in Virginia in 1639. Unfortunately, I don't have how these two men arrived in Virginia, just that they did. Does anyone have any information on John's father?
